Job Description:
Assistant Mechanical Supervisor
Virginia/Florida
We have two openings for Assistant Mechanical Supervisor who will work in
a team environment in Northern Virginia or Central Florida. The Assistant
Mechanical Supervisor will assist the Mechanical Supervisor to ensure that
the equipment/plant is available when needed and functioning as designed
at all times and to help procure Lane owned and/or rental machines as
deemed necessary by the Project/Plant Manager.
Arranging for the movement of machines to and from project/plant locations
as determined by project schedules and ensuring that Lane and/or rental
equipment is properly maintained in accordance with OEM specifications and
procedures. Assisting in the documentation of machine repairs and
analyzing historical machine records.
Assisting mechanics, electricians, and technicians with troubleshooting
equipment malfunctions in order to minimize downtime as well as striving
to improve equipment/plant operating efficiency to maximize production,
save time, save fuel and minimize labor including providing innovative
equipment/plant engineering solutions for the greater benefit of the
Corporation.
Qualifications include:
· Graduate Civil or Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3 to 5
years of similar experience for a heavy civil/ transportation focused
construction company
· B. S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or
related field
· Computer skills and experience with Word and Excel spreadsheets a
must
· Knowledge and use of JD Edwards Cost Control a plus
